Rethymnon is popular for its fusion of old and new – its modern tourist resort is contrasted with its pretty historic centre. Rethymnon also boasts one of the longest stretches of sand on the island, measuring a massive 12 kilometres. Sissi is a pretty fishing village characterised by a pretty harbour and charming tavernas.
